One for the men!

Having picked up the new Docrafts Creativity magazine including the free chronology stamps I was inspired to make a lovely card for my father in law. The stamps are so well made and certainly up to date with the style. I also purchased the cogs embossing folder that goes with the range, this will be great to use on other styles of cards too, I was thinking of a robot style card!

Aly's Inky Fingers Design Team

Well, I have finally done it, my cards have made it onto TV! I was recently invited to make some cards for Aly's Inky Fingers using her new set of stamps being shown on Create and Craft today. The new set is called Bags of Borders which is made up of Butterflies, shoes, bags and pretty ballerina style dresses. They are the gorgeous stamps that can be used for all ages of girlies.

Great start to New Year 2013

Happy New Year to you all, lets hope 2013 is a good year for us all.

My new year has started off well with a prize draw win on the Docrafts website and the chance to make some cards on a design team, I hope it works out well, I shall keep you all posted. I just need to put on my thinking cap now and come up with some cards using the stamps that are on their way to me. I leave you with a little card I made for a christmas day birthday.

Snowman Tic Tac Holders

Having been a follower of quite a few american blogs I came across this idea from http://www.dawnsstampingthoughts.typepad.com blog where she made a Father Christmas and an Elf tic tac holder. I love snowmen so made my own design, these are for my children (well 13 year old and 17 year old) not really children as such but still love treats at christmas.
Well I hope the snow doesn't come too soon as still lots to do before christmas and still need to get to work to pay for it all!

I wish you all a
Merry Christmas
and a
Happy New Year.

Christmas Ideas

Well the panic is on!!

I have been neglecting my blog for some time now which I apologies for, I have been so busy with work and my own children that I haven't had time to really make anything. The panic is now on to make my christmas cards before it's too late and I end up buying cards!!!!

These are two cards that I have made for special people but I now think I will end up buying my cards. I have been making gifts though ready for our staff party, I always like to give a little something to say thank you for all the hard work everyone does.

Well I hope everyone has a great christmas and lets hope the new year brings us all some joy xx

My News Year resolution will be to be more pro active with my blog and card making.

Shades of Blue

Well it's been a while since I last posted so please accept my apologies, I have no excuses just that I  hadn't got anything to show.
Yesterday I  bought my first christmas present for a special person to find today it had been reduced by £10,why does that always happen?
Well I was feeling Christmassy yesterday and a bit crafty so made a christmas card or two. I was inspired by the Card-io demonstration on Create and Craft the other day,I ahve some of their stamps but no christams ones but I did find that I had a lot of small snowflakes stamps. I cut out a template of different styles of baubles and tinted through these with the Versa colour inks then stamped the snowflakes in various shades of blue. I drew the scroll and strings freehand(you could probably tell!) added a couple of small bows and some liquid pearls to finish, oh an added a strip down the  other side of the card using the same technique, just another 50 to go!

Enjoy!
